Urbian

Urbian is a creative production company based in Greenpoint, Cape Town. If you want to find out a bit about them, I highly recommend you click on this link http://urbian.co.za/jingle/ and sing along to the jingle they have created to explain what they do. Everybody in the springleap.com office has done it at least three times, it’s so much fun! Well done guys on an amazing concept!
Antony Moulder, Urbian’s MD said, “We do motion and we do interactive in all its hues and shades. We research and develop things all the time. We eat food almost every time we meet and some of us have grown moustaches.”
The Urbian team says they get their inspiration from companies all over the world like Logan, Psyop, Three legged leg and Big Space Ship. A lot of their inspiration also comes straight from the industry and mediums like film, animation and architectural techniques. I think the industry should be getting their inspiration from them.
A company like Urbian is exactly why we are running this campaign, to expose the creative brilliance we have in Cape Town.
Their motto is, “Quality not Quantity” Urbian is the Ocean’s 11 of the advertising industry.
Take a look at some of the quality campaigns this company has created over the past year, click through to www.urbian.co.za. The work this company does is amazing.
What springleap.com t-shirt would Urbian wear if it were a person and why?
CMY by Simon, because they are not CMYK at all, they are RGB - so that’s a bit ironic.
Lisa and I loved their answers to our questions, what would Barak Obama’s name be in Zulu? And tell me something about yourself nobody else knows?
Urbian - Barak Obama’s name would be PATIENCE
Gary Willmott: “I have been known to occasionally put on a speedo”
Anton Moulder: “I graphic design my shopping list”
Rigard Kruger: “I love Abba!”
Joelle Snaith: “I make mini gourmet sandwiches for my hamster”
Christia Wollner: “I own a Pilates studio”

I believe you can vote online :
http://www.springleap.com/designs/view/urbian
You will need to register / login though.
You will see a page to vote for a T-shirt design, from what I understand, Tshirt votes are added to the pool of sms votes aswell.
