34.co.za

Lisa and I were truly inspired by Andy Sutcliffe, the founder of 34.co.za (http://34.co.za/) , he is from London and has worked for some of the biggest agencies in the UK . He is extremely passionate about South Africa and the potential we have to produce work that will rival agencies in New York and London. He said, “The people with the best people win” and 34 .co.za has employed some of the best people in the industry.

34.co.za is completely different to any other agency, they cater for a new market and they cut through the clutter by running brand activation campaigns. They take brands out of their comfort zone and encourage them to have an open minded approach and to start thinking brave, but not recklessly.

34 is very entrepreneurial and believe anything is possible, they thrive in today’s economy because they are a lean operation that is results driven and is able to produce measurable results.

34.co.za was responsible for the Castle campaign, You braai, we bring. If you sms’d Castle and told them when and where you would be having a braai with your friends, they would drop in on your braai from a helicopter and the hit squad deliver you a boatload of prizes. And more Castle. Now that’s smart thinking!

We asked Andy why he called his company 34. He said it was Cape Town’s latitude and that Cape Town will always be the agency’s epicentre. It is a good reminder that there are other people in Cape Town that are as passionate about Cape Town as we are here at springleap.

Lisa, I and Nick named Andy ‘The British Cowboy; if you get the pleasure of meeting him you will understand why and why his theory of ‘brilliant simplicity” will change the way clients look at traditional advertising campaigns.

34.co.za chose FOREST IN MIND by Molly Jelly as the springleap T-shirt that best represents their company’s personality, because like 34 it is branching out and one set of horns becomes 40- It’s all about the growth.

Have a look at the pictures below, to see how the answered the question, what would Barak Obama’s name be in Zulu?
